Who Is Jesus?
If you do not know Jesus as your Savior, I invite you to learn more about God’s simple plan of salvation. I pray that you choose to follow Christ.
We are all sinners. We all sin.
For all have sinned,
and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23
The price of our sin, for each of us,
is eternal separation from God.
But this price was paid by Jesus Christ
on the cross, so that we would no longer
be in debt for it.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God
is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23
Because Jesus, who was sinless, paid this price, we can be ‘saved’ from this eternal separation from God. God’s perfection and holiness are so far beyond our understanding that our attempts to ‘be good’ or ‘make amends’ are worthless. A lifetime of being good and doing good deeds (or good works) cannot pay this debt for us.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9
When we have faith in Jesus Christ and what He did for us, God sees Jesus’ righteousness (which means being ‘right’ in the eyes of God) instead of our own unrighteousness.
For he hath made him to be sin for us,
who knew no sin; that we might be made
the righteousness of God in him.
1 Corinthians 5:21
Jesus lived a perfect life, died to pay a debt He did not owe, and rose again for our justification (us being made right before God, as He releases us from the debt we owe for our sin).
But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
Romans 4:24-25
Follow Jesus… make Him your Lord today.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:9-10
If you have decided today to follow Jesus, one of the most important things you can do is to read through the Bible. A good place to start reading the Bible, to get more understanding of Jesus, and His life and ministry, is the book of John. This is the fourth book in the New Testament (which is the second section of the Bible). You can follow this link to start reading the book of John (there are 21 chapters in John):
